Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Singapore Airlines.
Manager
This interview process spanned two months. The first stage involved an HR and hiring manager conversation, followed by a deductive, inductive, and numeric reasoning test. The second stage was with a Senior HR representative and the VP, and the third stage was with the SVP. The interviewers were quite pleasant and focused on how my experience aligned with the role's requirements.
- Can you describe the most difficult project you've managed and explain your approach to handling it?
Assistant Manager
I had an online interview for a contract role at SIA Academy. It was a brief interview with standard questions, and they also elaborated on the job responsibilities. However, one of the interviewers seemed disengaged, appearing distracted while answering my questions and leaving early. The HR then took over to answer my questions towards the end, which felt quite impolite given it was a scheduled meeting. To top it off, the HR ghosted me after promising an update within a week, which was also rude.
- Tell me what you know about SIA academy and the position you're applying for.
- What is your understanding of SIA Academy and this specific role?
Management Trainee
They only contact by phone on a private number. If you miss their call, you can't call back. They left a number for return calls and voicemails, but no one responded. They didn't provide an email address. They lost my cover letter and asked me to retype it. Then they said I could do an assessment and asked about my availability for an interview, but neither the assessment nor the interview details ever arrived.
