Analog Design Engineer
Had a phone interview that lasted about an hour and a half with the Manager. It was an insightful experience. The main focus was on the fundamentals of transistor-level circuits, covering things like biasing, output swing, differential circuits, feedback/stability, RLC circuits, basic filter design, band-gap reference circuits, and opamp models such as telescopic and folded cascode. They also asked questions based on my resume, projects, and skill sets.
- Could you explain the fundamental concepts for designing any opamp circuit, specifically regarding output swing and biasing?
- Can you discuss feedback and stability in opamp circuits?
- What are your thoughts on basic signal processing questions?
Analog Design Engineer
I spoke with a recruiter at my school's career fair and they reached out shortly after for a 30-minute phone screen. The process was pretty straightforward. I had two phone screens: one with the hiring manager and another with a team member. The first interview was a bit tough because I was nervous, but the second one went much smoother. Both calls lasted about 45 minutes and were strictly technical questions. They only asked about my resume and experience in the last couple of minutes of the second call. It was a valuable learning experience.
- Regarding a common source amplifier, what input capacitance would be observed when it's being driven?
Analog Design Engineer

The role was for design interns on the MCU team in Austin, TX. If you've taken college courses in analog/RFIC, it should be pretty straightforward.
