Sales Representative
So, first I had a phone screening, then I went to the Denver office for an in person interview about a week after that. You really need to know about the role and what Signpost does. I had 3 interviews all on the same day for one position. I met with two sales managers and the director of sales. They asked a lot of questions about my resume and what I've done before. They pay close attention to what you say and then ask follow-up questions based on your answers. If you can think quickly, it's not too tough.

Sales Representative
The whole process took about two weeks. I applied online and then had a phone interview a few days later. The next part was an in-person interview with two different managers, where I also had to do some cold calling. I really liked how easy it was to connect with the managers; it felt more like a chat than an interrogation. The cold calling part is pretty straightforward! It’s a good way to see if you’re comfortable with it. A manager will be watching, so just stick to the script and stay calm. You also get a feel for how laid-back, comfortable, and energetic the office is, which I loved! The week after that was the final in-person interview. I had to prepare a mock sales pitch using a slideshow to present to the Sales Director. If you prepare enough, it's a breeze. I actually found the mock pitch easier than the interview with the Sales Director. They were all business and asked really detailed questions about my education and work history, going all the way back to high school. I highly recommend practicing your answers so you feel confident. It’s definitely a bit nerve-wracking, but my biggest tip is to let your personality show and be confident. They're really looking for the right fit for the company, and that could be you! Good luck!
- Can you tell me about the best parts of your high school experience?
- And what about the worst parts of high school?
- On a scale from 1 to 10, how would you rate your performance in your previous job?
Sales Representative
I applied online via wayup, and a recruiter quickly emailed me to schedule a phone call. She sounded really enthusiastic and got straight to the point. It felt like a sales-focused company, with a majority of their employees in sales (170 out of 300). They're growing fast through sales, planning to hire 350 new employees in 2016, with 210 of those in sales. Unfortunately, she didn't reply to my follow-up.
