The process was quite dull and one-way. It took a very long time, about 4 months, from beginning to end. After an initial screening and an online assessment centre, I had to complete an on-demand video interview. Interestingly, during this time, I got an invitation from the same recruiter to apply for a different program, which seemed a bit off. In the end, I was rejected from both, and the one I got an invitation for didn't even make it to the on-demand video interview stage.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

This was a very long and inefficient process. I heard back three months after applying for a video interview. HR communication was minimal and I didn't know what the next steps were. The process felt very one-sided. At every stage, there was no chance to ask questions afterward. They seem to think they offer something so special that the best candidate will endure months of hiring. This is an outdated model, and with remote work and worker shortages, the employee has more leverage now. The company does interesting work but has archaic, discouraging, and inefficient hiring practices. If someone makes it several rounds and isn't the right fit, they should call and provide feedback.

The interview started with the technical manager asking for my introduction and details about my major project. Following that, I was asked questions related to thermodynamics and heat transfer. I then elaborated on my project, including its working methodology and validation process. The manager probed further into the microscopic approach, especially since my project involved MD simulations.
