Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Siegel+Gale.
Designer
It was an online interview. Initially, I presented some of my work, discussed my capabilities, skills, and unique strengths. Then, there were questions about my motivation for joining S+G. The interviewer mentioned they assess each candidate's traits to find the best fit.
- What motivates your interest in S+G?
- Could you elaborate on your interest in S+G?
Designer
Got an initial interview with the GM in the first year, but they were looking for a design director then. Kept in touch, and in the second year, I got another shot with the new design director. Had a phone call with the director, then a face-to-face interview with them. Waited two weeks, then had the final interview with another GM. Got the offer a week later.
- Could you present a case study of your best work to demonstrate your capabilities to the design director?
Senior Designer
I had a chat with the director of the department, and she was really nice. They seemed interested in moving forward, but I didn't hear back. Maybe things changed, but after I followed up with their internal recruiter, I still didn't get a response.
- Can you share your perspective on AI and its potential impact on the creative industry?
