Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sicredi.
Software Engineer
I went through the hiring process with recruiter Luana. First, we had a phone chat, and then a technical interview with three interviewers. It was a tough interview, but it fit the role and the job description. About 30 minutes after, I got a message on Gupy saying I wasn't approved. I contacted Luana to find out why, since I thought I did well, and she told me it was a platform error and I had actually passed. After that, I heard nothing more, even after trying to reach out again. Talking to other candidates, I found out they all had the same experience, which shows a lack of transparency and respect for the professionals involved. Overall, I found the process disorganized and careless towards candidates, which reflects badly on the company's image.
- Can you share a mistake you made and what you learned from it?
Software Engineer
I applied through Gupy and was called for a chat with HR. I prepared a lot for the conversation, researched the company and technologies. However, as soon as I entered the interview, I realized it was just a formality and I wouldn't be hired. It was a short interview, without much depth into my skills and soft skills, and without much interest. Then I received a rejection stating they wanted someone more technically aligned with the role. I didn't understand why they interviewed me, to be honest. It was very frustrating.
- Tell me about your previous experiences, what you like about work, and what you don't like.
Software Engineer
The process was very quick. First, I had a chat with the recruiter who explained all the benefits and clarified everything about compensation, including performance bonuses, annual raises, and profit sharing. I felt completely comfortable with all the interviewers. The technical interview lasted about an hour, covering theoretical questions, past experiences, and practical scenarios where we shared and discussed code. It was all very straightforward and transparent. I think being well-aligned with the role I applied for made the interview process smoother.
- Tell me about your understanding of code architecture and best practices.
- What are your preferred coding conventions and how do you apply them?
