Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sibylline.
Intelligence Analyst
I had an HR call where they asked me basic and some topical questions. Then there was a written assessment which was straightforward. I also had a psychometric assessment which I didn't do well on and it led to me failing at that step.
- What are the main difficulties in the tech industry right now?
Intelligence Analyst
The overall experience was poor. The company struggles with communication and doesn't respect candidates' time. I went through 2 interviews, a research brief assignment, an online psychometric test, and then a presentation. After all that, I waited three weeks to hear from the hiring manager, only to receive a generic rejection email. The entire process spanned about 7 weeks. While I understand the current job market favors employers and they need to find the best candidate, it seems companies like Sibylline also feel entitled to waste people's time and effort. It was a very bad experience, and if this is how they treat applicants, I can't imagine their employee treatment.
- Can you tell us about your background in threat intelligence?
Intelligence Analyst
I did a written test where I had to do two research-based assignments under time limits. Then I had an initial interview, which was nice and relaxed, mostly about getting to know each other.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience?
- What's a difficult situation you encountered in your previous role?
- Imagine a situation where your skills would be useful, how would you handle it?
