First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shure.
Intern
The first step was a one-way recorded interview, where I think I got one chance to redo each question. Then, I had three interviews in a row on a video call, and they asked a lot of behavioral questions.
- What information do you have about Shure?
Intern
Make sure you know a lot about the company before your interview. They also want to hear about your personal strengths, so have some stories ready to share.
- Can you share an instance where you had a disagreement at work and how you resolved it?
- Describe your personal strengths.
- How well do you know our company?
Intern
So I got a call from a recruiter who told me about an internship program opening that they thought I'd be into and they wanted me to apply. Then I had a phone interview where they asked about what I knew about the company, my hobbies, my music background, and my computer skills. After that, they invited me in for an in-person interview. I met with the HR person, my future boss, his boss, and another teammate. They talked about the job and what I'd be doing, and then asked a bit about my skills and if I was good with the software I'd use. We also chatted about general interests. They did mention they'd be using a "behavior-based" style, like asking about times I handled unexpected situations or dealt with failure.
- Can you share an instance where you experienced failure and how you managed to overcome it?
- Tell me about a time you faced a situation that did not go as planned and how you responded.
- Describe a situation where you encountered failure and how you worked through it.
