First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shure.
DSP Engineer
I applied for this DSP Engineer position through a Google posting. The company then contacted me for a video interview. This video interview involved a website with pre-recorded questions, each allowing 3-5 minutes for response recording. My answers were recorded and reviewed offline. After about 1-2 weeks, I was notified that they wanted to proceed with the hiring process by arranging meetings with 5 engineers from the DSP team, including the manager. Initially, they considered scheduling 5 individual Skype interviews because I was in California. However, after a phone call with the manager, which was very positive and stress-free, they decided to fly me to Chicago for an onsite interview with other engineers. They covered my flights, hotel, taxi, and meals for the 2-day trip. My visit to Shure was fantastic; the DSP team members were all great, and their facility is very modern. They even gave me a tour of their small museum showcasing Shure's history and products. The recruiter who organized the interviews was flexible and efficient. I received an offer but chose another company due to a higher salary, although Shure offered a competitive stipend for interns living out of state. Overall, the interviewing process was very pleasant, and it seems like a great place to work.
