First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shoprite Group.
Packer
The interview process was structured and professional. It started with a brief introduction, followed by competency-based and situational questions. They also asked about my motivation for law, my interest in commercial practice, and how I handle challenges in a legal environment. The panel encouraged discussion rather than strict Q&A, making it interactive yet rigorous. They also gave me a chance to ask questions about the firm’s culture and work areas. Overall, it tested both my legal knowledge and soft skills over approximately 45–60 minutes.
- What draws you to commercial law, and how do you envision your contribution to our firm?
- Could you elaborate on your motivation for studying law?
- What aspects of commercial practice appeal to you?
Cashier
The interview process was quite straightforward. It involved a phone call, a mouth swab test, and then an in-person interview. This was a while ago, but I found them to be a valuable company for gaining experience. I'd suggest them to others.
- How is my ability with numbers?
Graduate Student
It was an online process. The first interview was with one person, and the second one was with two people. I applied during my second year of studies, which I now realize was a mistake, and I should have waited until my third year.
- Could you please introduce yourself?
- What do you consider your greatest strengths and weaknesses?
- What motivates your interest in this particular opportunity?
IT Consultant
