First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shoe Palace.
Sales Associate
I was called in for a group interview. When I got there for the interview, I arrived a bit early. They asked me some basic questions, and the interviewer was pretty chill. Then they sent an email saying they were moving forward with my application.
- What unique skills or contributions can you offer?
- Which shoe is your favorite?
- Can you describe your past work history?
Sales Associate
I went on their website and emailed my application. A few days later, they called me to come in for an interview. The interviewer was nice and things seemed to be going well until they asked me to come into the store and try to sell them three shoes. Since I hadn't had a job before, I didn't know how to do any of that. I didn't have any experience. I never got a callback, and after that, I knew I didn't want to work there.
- Can you tell me a little about yourself?
- Describe a situation where you had multiple tasks and how you managed them.
- Could you demonstrate by selling me three pairs of shoes?
Sales Associate
I applied online and then got a call. The first interview was kind of boring, I just answered 5 questions from a piece of paper. The second interview was also boring, mostly about my availability. The third interview was the real deal, I had to actually sell shoes. The whole process took 3 weeks and their communication was pretty bad, which I wasn't too happy about. They said they'd get back to me in 5-7 days, but I had to call them after 10 days. Then they asked me to come in again and offered me the job, but I declined.
- Do you have prior sales experience?
