So, it was a pretty standard interview process. Started with a round with a team lead, then we did a case study, and then a review of that case study. After that, I think the next steps were meetings with an executive and then possibly the CEO. Everyone I spoke with was really nice, but after checking online reviews and LinkedIn profiles of former employees, I started seeing some warning signs. It seemed like many people in this role didn't last more than six months. I even reached out to a few of them, and they all shared similar negative experiences.

Case Presentation Behavioral

I applied to Shiftsmart on their website and went through a case study, presentation, and 8 interviews over 2.5 months. Despite positive feedback after each interview, I didn't get an offer. The process was confusing and unclear. I was initially told I wasn't a fit for the team they suggested I interview for. Then, I was asked to interview for another team where a role might exist, but ultimately was not offered a position. Communication was consistently and deliberately hard to follow. The HR team changed the decision date four times and altered the requirements. I suspect there was never a role available.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process had some red flags. The interviews were rushed and started late. I didn't get much chance to introduce myself and highlight my contributions, making it difficult to understand their evaluation criteria. It felt like they were looking for people similar to themselves. During the VP interview, it was obvious the interviewer hadn't reviewed my case study as he asked basic questions already covered in my analysis. They should consider outsourcing interviews to shift workers.
