Shields HR contacted me to set up and conduct an initial screening interview. This first call was quick and easy. The HR recruiter then contacted me again (on the same day, I think) to schedule another interview with the current Tech BA Team Lead. This was also set up and happened very fast. I was then scheduled pretty quickly for a 3rd interview with the Tech BA Manager, which also happened fast. In total, I had 4 interviews scheduled, all within one week.
- Can you tell me about your education?
- Can you tell me about your work experience?
- Can you tell me about your skills?

It kicked off with a take home assignment, focusing on SQL and Excel using sample data to gauge how good I am. Once that was reviewed, I had a chat with a manager about the assessment and some standard interview questions. Then, I interviewed with an analyst, another manager, and the VP of the department. The feedback was minimal but consistently positive. The VP emphasized things like valuing moral character and doing things the right way. About two weeks after my last interview, after hearing from the recruiter that the VP was impressed, the recruiter informed me they were moving forward with other candidates. When I pushed for a reason, they gave a weak one, saying my SQL wasn't strong enough. This felt like an excuse made up after the fact, because if that was the real issue, they could've ended the process earlier. They talked a lot about the company doing good and valuing that in people, but then weren't honest or communicative with candidates, which shows their true colors. They might hide behind corporate rules or the idea that 'everyone does it,' but they're just as shady as any other employer, they're just less upfront about it.

Business Analyst
So first there was a phone screen with HR. They asked about my resume and if I was interested in the company and industry. Then I came in for some in person interviews. It was 3 interviews back to back, each lasting half an hour. Two were with analysts and one with HR. They asked about my resume, my experience and how comfortable I am with certain applications.
- What is your motivation for working in this industry?
- Can you tell us about your background and your interest in our company and this sector?
- Could you elaborate on your past experiences?
