First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Shell.
Graduate Engineer
I submitted my application and then had to do this assessment about managing tasks and a personality questionnaire. Right after that, I had a video interview with 3 questions. First was why Shell?, then questions about working in a diverse team and building relationships.
- Can you share an instance where you cultivated a strong relationship with an individual, and detail the steps you took to achieve that?
Graduate Engineer
The interview process has two sections. The first section focuses on psychological questions and personality assessment. The second section involves a self-recorded video where you answer three questions. These questions were average but somewhat tricky for an on-demand video format.
- Could you explain your motivation for wanting to join Shell?
Graduate Engineer
Shell's interview process is pretty technical and structured, usually involving behavioral and technical tests. You gotta show your problem-solving skills, know your stuff about the industry, and fit with Shell's values. If you prep well, like reviewing tech stuff, practicing problem-solving, and understanding Shell's business, it's more doable. Being good at communicating and thinking analytically is key to doing well.
- Can you share an instance where you dealt with a business issue?
