The interview process was pretty straightforward. After HR reviewed your qualifications, they would contact you (via email or phone) to schedule the initial HR interview. This first interview mainly focused on your resume. If you passed that stage, the next step was an interview with the team manager. In some cases, this second round was a panel interview involving both the team manager and a senior team manager. The questions in this round were mostly situational, with some technical ones mixed in. If the interviewers were impressed with you and you passed, HR would extend an offer.

Behavioral Technical Case Presentation
I was interviewed as an experienced hire, got the interview through a recruiting agency. First was a phone interview with the hiring manager, where we went through my previous experience and some behavioral questions. We had a good connection, and he gave me some tips for the next round. The second round, I was flown to The Hague for an individual assessment. This involved a case scenario that I had two hours to prepare for, followed by a 10-minute presentation with a general business strategic recommendation. After that, there was another phone interview (in the office) with HR, which was again mainly behavioral. I was exhausted after a full day of interviews and the assessment, but it was worth it. I had applied as a graduate before and found the experienced hire process much more logical because you're assessed as an individual for a specific role, not as part of a cohort. My advice is to document yourself extensively on Shell and the required hard and soft skills, mapping them to your previous experience in detail.
