However, you are required to complete a HireVue online interview, which is impersonal and does not allow you to speak with Shell employees during the initial application steps. I find that you are less informed about working there before reaching the later one on one interview steps.

The first round is a screening to see if you're a good fit and meet the basic requirements. We'll look at your resume for relevant experience, skills, and education. Then, there's an in-depth round to check your domain knowledge, analytical skills, and problem-solving for business analysis. This could involve case studies or scenarios to see how you analyze complex situations and find solutions. We might ask about specific business analysis tools, methods, or techniques. You could also get a hypothetical project and need to show how you'd do the requirements analysis and documentation. Finally, an HR round to check your soft skills, if you fit our culture, and talk about pay and logistics. Expect questions about teamwork, conflict resolution, and adapting to change. I got reached out by a recruiter on a hiring website, and we set up a phone call. The person interviewing me didn't seem ready and asked questions that felt like they were pulled straight from a textbook or just searched on Google during our conversation. They were about the Business Analysis role and my management experience. Even though I talked a lot about my team management experience, the recruiter told me, "You have strong BA skills; however, the business is looking for someone with Team management exposure." It really felt like the interviewer wasn't paying attention or gave me feedback that didn't make sense.
