First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sheetz.
Shift Supervisor
I was really eager to get this job, so I reached out. They called and set up the interview for the very next day. Since there was a lot of interest, they managed to fit me in pretty fast. The only thing I'm worried about now is passing the background check.
- Tell me about a time you overcame a challenge at work.
Supervisor
I went through two interviews that lasted over 2 hours. They told me I'd hear back on a specific day about an offer or if the position was filled. But on that day, they messaged me saying I needed a third interview. I was really disappointed and by the time the third interview came around, I had already accepted another job.
- Tell me about your experience.

Shift Supervisor
I went to a Sheetz store to see if they were hiring. I chatted with the manager and let her know I was interested in working there but didn't want to be a cashier. She told me they had a shift supervisor opening and asked about my supervisory experience. Since I had it, she told me to apply online and send my resume. After getting my application, she called to set up an interview. Following that interview, she said she'd contact her district manager about me for another interview. I met with him within a week. He asked why I wanted to work for Sheetz, about my experience, and my work ethic. We also talked about my background in a relaxed way, and he made me feel really comfortable. I got to ask him questions too, like about getting 40 hours, potential overtime, bonuses, and the 401k. He then said he wanted to offer me the job, saying I was exactly what they were looking for. The next day, I took a drug test and signed paperwork for a background check. I heard back within a week that everything was good, and I'll sign new hire papers next. It was a great experience, and I learned a lot about the company, which seems like a really good place to work where they value their employees.
- Can you describe a situation where you had to handle a challenging customer and explain how you managed it?
- Tell me about a time you had a conflict with a coworker and how you resolved it.
