The interviewers were super nice and seemed to really want to get to know me! It was pretty standard stuff with a bit of a software focus, which made sense. The whole thing took about two weeks over the summer, and they were really quick to respond whenever I had questions.

First round was a 30 minute chill call. The interviewer was super nice and easy to talk to. It started with a 'walk me through your resume' type of thing and then went into questions specifically about my resume. For the technical part, they asked about different company valuation methods and how to value a pre-revenue company, specifically focusing on multiples like EBITDA, free cash flow, and EV/Revenue. I think they might have asked a basic accounting question too, and definitely 'walk me through a DCF'.

Behavioral Presentation

I had a phone chat with the ops manager and then met with two senior people from the firm. Everyone gave me their take on the company's past, what it's like to work there, and the business in general. It was clear everyone has a key part in the company, which makes sense for a small firm of 25. They really focused on how my job fit into the bigger picture of how the company operates and how my background would be useful. There was some waiting time since they wanted me to meet as many people as possible in one day, but it was a busy season for interviews. All in all, it was a really good experience and I got a job offer.

After submitting an online application, I had a 30-minute on-campus interview. The interviewer, an ex-student, was really nice. They wanted to know if I was up-to-date on the Dow's daily performance and if I had any existing investment strategies. I also needed to demonstrate knowledge of basic enterprise value calculations and the underlying theory.
