Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sharp HealthCare.
Systems Analyst
First, I had a phone call with the hiring manager where they asked me some questions. After that, I had a panel interview with the rest of the team. Each person on the team asked me questions.
- Nothing out of the ordinary was asked.
Systems Analyst
I usually end up on the panel side of interviews and know the drill. For this Systems Analyst gig, I had a good first chat with the hiring manager over the phone. Then, I was called in for a solid hour with a panel. They mostly hit me with questions about how I'd handle project priorities and juggle tasks when I had existing duties. I felt like I nailed it, especially since I've been on the other side myself. But, one senior analyst went rogue, straying from the provided list and asking her own questions, pushing for technical answers on project-related stuff. Surprise, surprise, the hiring manager followed up, saying they liked my interview but needed to dig deeper into my technical skills. Honestly, I don't think panel members should just make up questions on the fly. Felt like a bit of a waste with those biased, fake-personality questions. Seems like some people just stay in the same role for ages with no real growth. The manager did mention the work environment is good, not many bonuses though. With that panel, I'm skeptical.
- What kind of work environment do you prefer?
IT Analyst
The process is straightforward and simple if you are knowledgeable in IT. Sharp IT always does panel interviews, which should be no problem as long as you are confident.
- If you're working on an urgent ticket and more urgent tickets come in, how do you handle it? Walk me through your thought process.
