First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at ShareThis.
Intern
The interview process involved 3 technical rounds and 1 HR round. It was focused on Java and DSA questions, along with some CS fundamentals. The DSA questions covered topics like adding two linked lists, finding missing elements in an array, and merging overlapping intervals.
- Can you add two linked lists?
- How to find missing elements in an array?
- How do you merge overlapping intervals?
Product Manager
ShareThis' interview process was the best I've seen. The way they treated, accommodated, and challenged me was a big factor in my decision to accept. You can really see how a company operates by its interview process. From the start, ShareThis' HR team worked with my schedule, was available for questions, connected me with hiring managers fast, and set up in-person panel reviews to finish. The whole thing took about 12 days from applying to getting an offer.
- How would you approach a given industry challenge and what is your process for it?
Director
HR/Recruiter reached out and gave a good company overview, explaining the role and assessing my fit and alignment with my career goals. I was impressed by the company's success and the recruiter's deep knowledge. After that, I had onsite interviews with the hiring team and some executives. I also asked to meet the CEO, which they arranged, and it was great to meet him as he seemed genuine and possessed strong operational and business expertise. Finally, I received a competitive verbal and written offer, which I happily accepted.
- How would you implement change management to drive innovation beyond current practices and processes?
Software Engineer
The interview process had three rounds: a senior engineer, the CTO, and the SVP. There were no 'IQ test' type questions; instead, it was a qualitative review of past projects and how they match current needs. Everyone I met seemed reasonable, and the CTO was particularly intelligent. The order of interviews changed from what was initially planned, likely because they found a new potential match for my skills. Before the interviews, the interviewers had researched my background using sources other than my resume.
- Inquiries about your work style.
- Questions about your commute preferences.
