I was waiting for over an hour for the interview, and then a recruiter/interviewer finally called me in. They asked what I was applying for, and I said a Marketing Assistant/Intern role. They mentioned they were actually looking to fill manager positions instead. I was surprised because this wasn't what I discussed with HR on the phone the day before, where we confirmed a full-time Marketing Assistant/Intern position. I was interested in the new opportunity, so I set up a second interview for the next morning. However, when I arrived on time, I was told the person I was supposed to meet wasn't in the office and was 'busy.' They said I'd be called to reschedule, but I never received that call.

My interview experience was a mess. The front desk lost my application, and I waited almost 1.5 hours to be interviewed. After I finally got in, the interviewer told me they weren't hiring for the Marketing Assistant role I applied for, but for manager positions instead. This was surprising since I'd confirmed the Marketing Assistant role with HR previously. I was offered the manager role, so I scheduled a second interview for the next morning. When I arrived on time, I was told the person I was meeting wasn't in and was 'busy.' They said I'd be called to reschedule, but that call never happened. It was a disorganized and misleading process, not at all what I applied for. It felt like they used the job opening to get people in and then try to fill a different, needed role.

So, there are 4 steps in the interview process. The first step was a quick phone interview, like 5 minutes, basically just a screening. Then, the second interview was in Manhattan. I got to ask them questions and they learned about me and my skills, pretty standard stuff. The third interview was the coolest part. It was a group interview where they explained the job in detail, talked about the company structure and pay. I had to work on some case studies and present them with the group. It was fun but also tough.
