First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SGS.
Laboratory Technician
Before the interview, I had to complete a lengthy and detailed medical questionnaire that included questions about my mental health medications. Despite my reservations about the potential risks, I chose to be open about my prescription. Although it didn't affect my job performance, my disclosure led to some judgmental comments during the interview.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Laboratory Technician
I had a couple of back-to-back interviews, each lasting about half an hour. One was with the lab head, and the other was with HR. Both went really well. The interviewers were super friendly and put me at ease, asking typical questions about my experience, previous workload, strengths, and weaknesses.
- What experience did you have and what functions did you perform?
- What was the workload?
- What could you bring to the company?
Engineering Technician
It started with an English writing and verbal assessment, covering your background, experience, and technical skills. Then there was a management skill audit. The final stage was a group interview with the manager and technical supervisor.
- Can you tell me about an impressive situation you handled in a past role?
- What are your plans for career growth and development in the future?
