First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SGS.
Intern
I had a group interview at SGS. There were seven interviewers, and they asked me a bunch of different questions. About half of it felt like they were checking if my personality fit the role and the company. It's important to talk a lot and be active in the interview because they want to see how you communicate and interact.
- If you had to choose one object to describe yourself, what would it be?
Intern
It was an online interview, one to one. They asked basic questions related to my studies. Introduce yourselves. Why you want to be an intern here. It wasn't that difficult. Nice interview. Good experiences.
- Introduce yourselves.
- Why do you want to be an intern here?
Intern
You begin by sending in your resume and cover letter or just filling out an online application. Then, they might do an initial screening to see if you're qualified and a good fit. This could be a phone or video chat. If you get past that, you'll have an interview, either in person or online, with a hiring manager or someone from HR. This chat usually covers your background, skills, and what you've done. Some places have more than one interview round or a panel interview where you talk to a few people from the team. You might also have to do a skills test or assessment to check your abilities. They might also check your references to confirm your work history and how you performed. The last step could be an interview with higher-ups or executives to decide if you're the right person for the job.
- Can you walk me through your background and relevant experience?
