Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SGS.
Account Executive
It was a multi-step interview process. I met with HR, my direct manager, and business unit leadership. All the interviews were in person, except for the first call which was over the phone. The interviews were on average about 30 minutes to 1 hour long.
- Can you tell me about your weaknesses and strengths?
Account Executive
They checked my accounting skills, ms office skills, and how many years of experience I have. They also asked about salary exceptions, checked communication skills, languages known, reconciliation of accounts, what time I can join, and if I am willing to travel.
- What is your reason for seeking a new job opportunity
Sales Executive
The interview process involved 3 phone calls, first with the HR recruiter, then the hiring manager, and finally the VP of Sales. After that, there were 5 in-person interviews held at their corporate headquarters with the HR recruiter, HR director, hiring manager, VP of Sales, and the division president. They all seemed curious and the conversations were a good back-and-forth, but ultimately I wasn't offered the job.
- Given that we offer services rather than products, what makes you a strong candidate for this role?
- What are your expectations regarding salary and overall compensation?
