Creative Director
The SGK recruiter sent a standard email to get my availability for chats over the next few days. I replied quickly with lots of times I could do. No response came back. I followed up twice more via email over the next few days, but still nothing. A week later, on Wednesday, the recruiter sent a personal email asking if I was free Friday or early the next week. I again replied fast with times for Friday and early the next week. No reply. The next Monday, the recruiter emailed again, saying, “I don’t know how I forgot we were off Friday,” and set up a time for Tuesday. Later that day, they asked to move the meeting to the end of Tuesday. We finally chatted on Zoom, and the recruiter said their internet was bad and they wouldn't turn on their camera. The interview felt very one-sided, and they didn't engage much. Most of their answers were just “yeah” and “uh-hum,” like they were doing something else. Seriously, the worst, least professional interview I've ever had.
- Can you tell me about your part in a specific project?
- What was your role in a project?
Premedia Artist
The interview involved a color blindness test, an IQ test, and three role-specific proficiency tests. Each test section had a time limit. If shortlisted, I would be contacted for the next interview round. The interview itself was pleasant, and I found the hiring manager easy to converse with.
- How do you cope with stress?
- Describe your collaboration process with other departments.
- Are you open to working shifts?
Senior Client Coordinator
Got an email from the recruiter saying I was shortlisted and to share my availability for a call. Waited a week, no call. Followed up, asked for availability again, and sent it. Another week passed, still no response. I finally asked if the position was filled because it's unprofessional to get someone's hopes up and then leave them hanging. After I asked that, I was told someone else was selected. I wasn't even given a chance, just shortlisted.

Account Manager
The interview process took 3 months! First there was a phone interview, then a management interview, and then another interview with the hiring manager and some staff from another SGK office. After my final interview, I had to wait 1.5 months to find out if I would move on to the final interview stage. No one bothered to tell me I wasn't selected. I contacted the recruiter and she told me I wasn't chosen. About 5 months in, I finally got a generic email saying I wasn't selected. Their long interview process and ghosting candidates is unprofessional and makes me think they have internal issues. During my last interview, they focused a lot on the difficult parts of the job and didn't mention any of the perks of SGK. This was the most disorganized and longest interview process I've ever experienced. 3-5 months is unacceptable.
