Full Stack Developer
The interview process typically involves around 4 rounds. First, HR reaches out via email to discuss expectations and whether you're a good fit. Then, there's a technical manager round focusing on LLD/HLD and a problem statement. After that, a take-home assignment using React and Golang, which usually takes about two days to complete and submit. The next step is a CTO round, primarily about your past projects, career journey, and what you expect. Finally, a behavior round with the head of the department, covering expected compensation and future plans. If all goes well, you're cleared!
- Can you tell me about your resume, Java, Microservices, basic Data Structures, and Design Patterns?
- Could you implement a shopping portal given some requirements?
- What are your thoughts on Low-Level Design and High-Level Design?

I saw the opening for this job at Sezzle on Feb 1st and was really excited to apply. On Feb 15th, I got an email for a Codelity test, which was the first step. I took the test on Feb 17th and completed all the questions, which included SQL, Java, and React. I was pretty optimistic after this round. After a week with no update, I reached out to the recruiters via email and LinkedIn. Finally, on Feb 26th, I got an email saying they had moved forward with another candidate. It's unfortunate, but it was a good learning experience. I need to keep improving my skills so I can make a better impression next time.
- A basic SQL query was asked
- Java code was tested
- React code was tested
Full Stack Software Engineer
The interviewer was really bossy, not like a leader, and didn't let me use real-world examples. They're looking for 2+ years of experience but then hit you with senior-level questions. Seems like they want a lot of work for not much pay.
- Can you discuss arrays?
- Can you explain how to implement a calculator?
