My interview experience at Sewell was tough but ultimately worth it. It felt very thorough, which gave me a good sense of the company. A friend referred me. First, I had an interview with 3 sales managers. A week later, I was called back for a personality and aptitude test. Another week passed before I had another interview with a different sales manager. After a few weeks, I had my final interview with the General Manager. The next day, I got the job offer. The whole process took about 6 weeks. They really take their time to ensure a good fit.

Applied direct through dealership employee. The process is S-L-O-W. Interview process was pretty standard for any corporate job and sales position, start with talking to a recruiter a week or 2 after applying and having a 1/2-1hr in person discussion. Afterwards is an aptitude test with basic math/logic questions. A week or two after you'll hear back from recruiting wanting to schedule another IQ/personality test. Takes about an hour, solely due to the amount of questions/bubbles. Afterwards, you'll select which dealerships in your area you'd like to work with. Wait another week or two and you'll hear back from a dealership(s) wanting to interview with you. You must interview with all managers of the dealership, each visit is roughly 30 minutes. Expect things to take longer than 2 hours, mine took 4 as the managers were uncoordinated and running behind - not sure if my interview was on the books or not, but I imagine that a busy dealership may have some slowdowns here and there. Fortunately did not receive an offer after a whole month, nor did I receive a call/e-mail/text from anyone informing me that I wasn't selected. Follow up calls? Nothing back from them. Follow up texts? You guessed it, nothing back. Leave ghosting for the dating world. The recruiter and office secretary were great, communicative, and seemed to be on top of their game.

Got put in touch with a current employee who passed my name along to management. Knocked out all the interviews in just a few days. First up was GSM to see how I'd do, then I talked to the GM of the store. After that, I met with a few Sales Directors for more in-depth interviews about the business and handling different scenarios. Then it was off to HR for an aptitude and personality test, which took about 45 minutes. The last step was interviewing with the HR Director. They gave me a background form to complete. The background check and drug screen that followed took about two weeks.
