First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sevenstep.
Recruitment Business Partner
I got an email outlining a two-step interview process. First, I talked to the recruiter for the job. Then, I was moved to the second interview. The person who interviewed me had me talk to management the same day, and I got an offer the very same day.
- What prompted your transition into recruiting?
Recruitment Business Partner
There was one interview round for the interview process. The questions were a little more challenging than normal. I did have a follow-up call to revisit compensation, since I was originally out of their range.
- Can you share your experience working in similar roles?
Talent Acquisition Specialist
The first interview was scheduled but the interviewer didn't show up, so I had to reschedule. For the second interview, the interviewer was late and didn't apologize. They talked a bit about the company and then asked some basic questions, but kept confusing my application for a Talent Acquisition Specialist with a Recruitment Coordinator role. The whole experience was disorganized, and I think I might have dodged a bullet by not getting hired, especially since I have five years of HR experience in healthcare and they were asking really simple questions. It felt like a complete waste of my time.
- What is your current location?
- What's prompting your job search?
- What are your salary expectations for this position?
Recruitment Business Partner
It was a pretty standard process, took about 4 to 6 weeks from applying to getting the offer. Started with a quick phone call, then a face-to-face meeting that lasted an hour with the hiring manager and some team folks. The last interview was a phone chat with someone senior from Sevenstep in the US.
- Describe a time you had to handle a challenging hiring manager. What was the situation and how did you sort it out?
