Sales Representative
This interview was no walk in the park — having prior sales experience really helps. ServiceTitan wants folks who get outbound prospecting, CRM tools, and SaaS sales already. I went through a recruiter chat, then an interview with the hiring manager, and finally a role-play. They were checking how well I communicate, handle objections, and know my sales metrics. You gotta be ready to talk about your outreach strategy, how you qualify leads, and give examples of meeting or beating your goals. The team was upfront and professional. It's obvious they're looking for SDRs who can get up to speed fast and already know how to follow a sales cadence.
- How would you approach cold calling a contractor unfamiliar with ServiceTitan, covering opening, discovery, and objection handling?
Sales Representative
It was a long process with several interviews and a panel review. They asked basic questions about work history, pay, and what they typically ask in interviews. Different people asked the same questions. The people were nice, but it felt like a job where you work hard for little pay.
- Where do you see yourself in five years?
Sales
So first I had a quick chat with the recruiter, then I went in person to meet the Head of Sales and the CEO. I met them one-on-one and they really dug into my sales methods and my past results, which I thought was great. They paid close attention to how much money I'd brought in before and checked my understanding of the industries they serve. The Head of Sales was super sharp and focused, taking tons of notes and even referencing them when asking for more details. The CEO was really friendly, focused on values, and super enthusiastic about the company and the quality of their product. They were pretty intimidating with how smart they are, but they were also really approachable. Both of them spent more time with me than they had initially planned, and I really appreciated them being so open and honest when I asked about the company size, their clients, and so on.
- Can you walk me through your sales process step-by-step, from beginning to end?
- Specifically, how do you prepare for and carry out each stage of the sales cycle, from the initial contact to closing the deal?
