Software Engineer
I was asked a system design question about designing a Toaster. I had to cover its database, frontend, and backend. Since my role was frontend developer, I was then asked to code the frontend part of it using React JS.
- Design a Toaster, covering its database, frontend, and backend.
- How would you handle session management?
- Describe the components and their communication flow for the Toaster design.
Software Engineer
Since I live out of state, both interview rounds were conducted via Skype. The first round was a 30-minute technical screen where I had to discuss my background and learn about their ongoing projects. The second round was a full technical interview, lasting an hour, focused on practical questions about the skills listed on my resume.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- Can you introduce me to your projects?
- Can you tell me about the practical questions related to your skill set in your resume?
Senior Software Developer
I'm not sure there really was a process. I had one onsite interview where I spent a couple hours in a conference room waiting to meet different lead and managers. It seemed like they grabbed whoever was available at the time since they were typically not prepared and really just spent a few minutes talking.
