The recruiter was professional and seemed well-prepared, having reviewed my resume and asked relevant questions. It was assumed I had a basic understanding of the company. The conversation then moved to the industry and its specific demands in the local community. The recruiter, based in the Houston corporate office, was very friendly. They followed up promptly and professionally.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was quite long, most of the day. It was VERY thorough including a cemetery and funeral home tour along with introductions to most department heads and staff. The interview was conducted by several of the upper management staff. Some of the questions were quite difficult but they made a lot of sense. Questions similar to the below. Now that I think of it they don't sound too difficult but some of them catch you off guard. It's best to just be yourself and be completely honest and you will do fine.

Behavioral Technical

I applied for a Sales Manager job online about 6 weeks ago. A bit later, I got an email to set up a 30-minute phone interview. I called them back and we scheduled the interview. The interviewer called me about an hour later to get started. We had a friendly chat and he asked me a lot of questions about my background. He wanted to know about my experience managing sales teams, how many people I'd managed, what a normal day looked like, how I spent my time, and how I recruited salespeople. He also asked about my salary. Then I got to ask him questions about the role, like if it was a new job, how the sales territory was doing, and what happened to the previous manager. He was pretty open with his answers.
