Receptionist
I chatted with about three folks before I was offered the position. The second person I spoke with even gave me some tips on how to phrase things for my next conversation! It felt pretty laid-back, and they were all really friendly.
- They asked about my personality and hobbies to gauge my fit with the company culture.
Receptionist
So I applied online and after about a week I had a phone call screen which was pretty standard. Then I was invited for an interview where they first made me sit for a general knowledge test. It was basic math and English, which was a bit weird for that stage. After that, I had a long talk with a manager, and then they asked me to come back for a second interview. The next week, I met another lady who asked some personal questions that weren't really related to the job. After that, I had to stay for another hour to meet with someone from HR. During the second interview, they also mentioned the low salary they wanted to offer and told me about performance targets for bonuses. They called afterwards saying they liked me and wanted to offer me the job, but wanted me to do a trial day first. I ended up declining the offer because of the interview process and the salary, and took a job elsewhere.
- Are you in a relationship?
- What is your partner's opinion on this job opportunity?
Receptionist
The whole hiring process took ages. I had interviews in so many different spots across Sydney, like the CBD, North Sydney, and Parramatta, and I had to go back there quite a few times. On the bright side, all the people I met were super nice! There were a bunch of tests, and some of them I had to do more than once, which was a bit of a drag.
- What value do you offer to the company?
