Customer Service Representative
The Serco interview was pretty standard, nothing really out of the ordinary. The interviewer was formal and kept their distance, making it feel a bit cold. They asked a lot about dealing with customer questions, sorting out disagreements, keeping things private, and being a good team player. There were also some questions asking what I would do in certain situations to see how I solve problems and talk to people, but nothing too crazy. It was professional, but felt a bit impersonal. It gave a clear idea of what the job involves, though it wasn't the most exciting experience.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
Customer Service Representative
The interview process is a multiple-stage process for hiring new employees. The stages mainly comprise job interviews held either one-on-one, with a group of candidates, or with a panel. Interviews are conducted in person, over the phone or by email, or via video conferencing tools. Online interview by serco group at December 2024, United Arab Emirates by serco middle east
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What is your understanding of customer service?
Customer Service Representative
I applied via the Serco website and heard back about a month later through email and phone. The interview, which lasted less than an hour, was a panel with the department head and two other people. They asked standard interview questions, but at the end, they asked me to 'tell me something that you haven't told me...' to get the job. Since I had already shared all my strengths upfront, I couldn't add much beyond stating my suitability for the role. Less than two hours after the interview, I got an email saying I wasn't chosen. The job is a government contract to help veterans with job services and coaching over the phone.
- Tell me about a challenging situation you faced and how you handled it.
- What else haven't you told me that would help you get this job?
