Behavioral

Got a call from a recruiter about jobs and my interest/timeline. They talked about benefits and asked why I wanted to work at Sephora. Then I had a phone interview with the recruiter a week later. We talked about the Store Manager role, training, and they asked a lot of behavioral questions typed into a form. They said they'd be in touch about next steps. The recruiter was nice, but it felt like a lot of hoops, especially if you'd rather talk to the hiring manager. I got an email saying I didn't get the job, even with my experience. I feel like I couldn't get my experience across well enough. Disappointed and won't apply again even though they encouraged it. Retail is about relationships, and the end of this process felt cold.

Behavioral Presentation

I first spoke with a talent manager at the company. We talked about my previous roles and what I had achieved with my past teams. We also covered why I was interested in working for Sephora, what skills I could bring to the table, and why I'd be a good fit for the company. They explained the type of manager they're seeking and what they could offer me if I joined. We also went over training, benefits, store locations, and opportunities for career advancement.
