First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sephora.
Sales Associate
First, the company and recruiters introduced themselves. Then, there was a round of personal introductions where you had to 'Tell us about yourself in one minute.' After that, there was a group activity or role-play, like simulating a sale, proposing a product, or resolving a customer situation. Finally, there was a short test on beauty brand or product knowledge.
- What motivates your interest in working with us?
- In what ways would you contribute to sales performance?
Sales Associate
The interview process was pretty good, and the interviewer asked questions that were fair and relevant. But, after the interview, they told me I wasn't being considered because of a scheduling issue that they already knew about before the interview since it was on my resume.
- Could you tell me about your availability?
- Can you work holidays?
Sales Associate
The interview was very short. I completed my information and availability details while I waited. The job posting did not specify any availability requirements for this position. Upon reviewing my hours, she stated it wouldn't work because she needs staff who can stay past midnight due to the seasonal store hours, which I couldn't do. The entire interview process was shorter than the time it took me to fill out the form. If the required availability had been mentioned in the job description, I wouldn't have even applied. It was a complete waste of my time.
