Program Manager
The interview process was pretty organized. It started with a recruiter screen for about half an hour. Then, there was a 30-minute take-home task focused on attention to detail. After that, I had a meeting with an Associate Director, but that's where it ended for me. My interviewer didn't seem very prepared, which made me feel less confident.

Program Manager
The interview process consisted of just one initial step: a 20-minute call with a recruiter. The recruiter was very friendly and enthusiastic. The conversation confirmed that the role and professional development opportunities align with what I'm looking for. SEO places a high value on professional development for its employees.
- Can you explain what makes you qualified for this position?
Program Manager
It was a 30 minute phone interview, followed by two in-person interviews. The first in-person interview had 2 writing assessments and a demo lesson in front of a group of students. The second in-person interview consisted of a panel interview with 3 staff members and then an interview with the VP. It felt like they were looking for a very specific fit and weren't open to other ideas. During the last interview, I felt like they were trying to get rid of me because my past job experience wasn't EXACTLY the same as what this position required, even though I've been working in college access for a long time. The panelists gave off a really elitist vibe, boasting that 100% of their students go to 4-year colleges, which isn't that unusual for successful college access programs that typically have success rates between 80%-100%.
- Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
- How would your former bosses describe you?
- What's your work style?
