The interview process started with a technical online assessment to check problem-solving and analytical skills, involving quantitative reasoning questions in my chosen language. Then, there was an experience-based and behavioral interview to see how I handle tough problems, work with others, share findings, and own projects.

The interview process was pretty organized. It started with a recruiter screen for about half an hour. Then, there was a 30-minute take-home task focused on attention to detail. After that, I had a meeting with an Associate Director, but that's where it ended for me. My interviewer didn't seem very prepared, which made me feel less confident.

I applied online and heard back from a recruiter within days to set up an interview. We scheduled it for the following week. The first interview was about 30 minutes long. The recruiter asked me about my current job, my interest in SEO, my software skills, my experience managing job requisitions, and my knowledge of the company. They also asked situational questions, like how I'd cope with too many requisitions or handle stress in a busy workplace. A few days later, I got an email saying they liked my qualifications and wanted to proceed. They then sent me a take-home assignment due in three days. This assignment was quite involved, asking for my interview process, preferred tools, recruitment strategies, how I'd handle 60-80 requisitions, and managing hiring manager relations. I spent a whole day on it to make sure it was detailed and correct. It felt like a lot of work for an unpaid assignment, which I found a bit strange. After submitting it, I waited several days for a response. When I followed up, the recruiter mentioned they were making changes to the role and restructuring, and would be in touch. Two weeks passed, and then I got a standard rejection email. Considering the effort I put in, the process felt unprofessional, especially without another interview or feedback. It made me think they might have had a candidate already and were just looking for ideas. In the end, I feel like I avoided a bad situation; a company that expects a lot of unpaid work upfront probably isn't the right fit.

I went through a three-stage process that took months. First, I talked to an HR rep, then the hiring managers, and then a panel interview with team members. I got good feedback after each stage, but then they totally ghosted me after the third interview. I'd expect better professional courtesy at that point, especially from an org focused on career exploration and expansion.
