Sensirion Research Engineer Interview Questions
& Process

My interview process involved two rounds. The first round was virtual and focused on competencies. I interviewed in March and again in September. The March interview was a really positive experience with a great vibe from the hiring manager. However, the September interview felt different; they didn't seem eager to get to know me, and the atmosphere wasn't pleasant. The hiring manager seemed quite reserved. After that interview, I felt I wouldn't want to work for that person. Sadly, I didn't advance to the second, in-person/on-site round in either instance.

I went straight to a face-to-face interview, no phone screen. The HR part was 45 minutes, and the role-specific interview was an hour. It was moderately difficult. The interviewers seemed a bit doubtful because I'm studying part-time. Overall, I got a good vibe about the company. The downside is that they gave zero feedback after rejecting my application.

The first meeting was casual. They explained the job in more detail and I got to ask my questions. I briefly introduced myself and my career. Standard personal questions were asked, like strengths, weaknesses, how a friend would describe me, and why I applied to Sensirion. The second meeting was more technical. I was advised to check their website to understand how their different sensors work.
