The interview process had 3 or 5 rounds, taking over 2 months and including a reference check. It wasn't as open as advertised, with poor diversity (mostly white males from German-speaking countries). I got rejected for unclear reasons, stating I misunderstood technology despite passing the technical interview, even though they said tech understanding wasn't that important initially. The first round was a 1-hour online technical interview with the department head and an engineer. The second round was a 1.5-hour on-site mix of interviews with HR, the department head, and engineers. The third round was on-site, starting with a 30-minute team meet-and-greet, followed by a 1-hour interview with HR, the department head, and an engineer, and concluding with a 1-hour interview with a CXO.

Behavioral Technical

Applied online and got the first interview in days. The whole process took about a month. First was a video screening. Then an HR video call for cultural fit. The last interview was a 4-hour in-person visit with several people, mostly discussing personal aspects rather than technical stuff. I didn't get an offer because they felt I was too shy and didn't ask enough questions, which they apparently missed in the video calls. They did give me feedback though, which is good, as I wouldn't want to work for a place that doesn't accept my personality.

Behavioral Technical

After applying, I was invited for an interview quickly. First interview: short HR part - presentation of tasks - candidate can introduce themselves. Second interview: technical/professional discussion combined with testing problem-solving skills - meeting the team - working conditions. The whole process took no more than two weeks and I was always informed quickly (without asking).
