Behavioral Case Presentation

The first step is a behavioral interview with a recruiter where you'll go over your resume and discuss your understanding of Sense Corp and why you want to be a consultant. Next, you'll have a case interview with two senior consultants, which will also include some typical behavioral questions. They'll give you past case questions, but they aren't super hard or technical. The final stage is a dinner with about 15-20 employees and other candidates. They held two dinners for my class, so getting invited doesn't guarantee anything. They'll try to get you excited about the company and focus on culture fit and other HR stuff. Expect them to miss their deadlines for getting back to you, blaming it on how tough their hiring process is. They'll keep you hopeful with positive feedback from recruiters and employees, saying your personality and fit for consulting/the company are key. Ultimately, the offer will go to the top student, regardless of personality. It's a shame because they seem like a good company, but if you want a straightforward process that truly looks at your whole application, go elsewhere. Sense Corp will just waste your time.

Behavioral

I applied through my school's career site and heard back about a week later to schedule an interview. The interview started late by 20 minutes and only had 2 questions. Most of the time was spent with the interviewer talking about the company's training program, including personal details about past hires and their social lives. She also shared personal stories about coworkers. After this long monologue, I was asked if I had questions. I asked about consultant roles, hiring branches, and placement processes, but she didn't know the answers. The interview ended because we ran over time, and I was later told I didn't get the next round. It felt unfair because I couldn't really talk about my qualifications.

I applied and got a call back in 2 days. The recruiter was nice and seemed interested in my answers during the 30-minute chat. Then, I had a 45-minute interview with a consultant, which was a bit quieter. The last interview was a 30-minute video call with the VP of HR. It felt like real conversations with everyone, though the last interview kind of went off track. The rejection email was standard.
