HR called me as they found my CV and thought I might be interested in a job. We had a quick phone chat about my background and the role. Then I got an invite for a group interview with two other people. We all sat there while the HR person and a UK supervisor interviewed each candidate one by one. After that, we did a role play exercise where one of us pretended to be a customer service rep and another a customer, based on a given scenario. Then we discussed what makes a good customer service rep. I was told the job would start the next Monday, but I never heard back, not even a rejection email, which I thought was unprofessional given the time I invested. I emailed them for an update, but got no reply from HR.

I got in touch with Sellbytell through a friend who already worked there. After sending an unsolicited application, I received a brief 5-minute phone call with some general questions. Subsequently, the recruiter scheduled a Skype interview for me a few days later. The questions posed were quite direct and not overly challenging. Following this initial interview, the recruiter promptly arranged a second interview with my potential supervisor. I also completed a basic language assessment in both my native language and English. I anticipated more complex questions during this second interview, but the supervisor asked essentially the same questions as the recruiter. This second interview lasted only about 10 minutes. A few days after, I received a phone call extending a job offer. Overall, both interviewers were very friendly, and the recruiter, in particular, did a great job explaining everything about the company, patiently addressing all my inquiries.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The biggest challenge was the role-playing exercise during the first interview, where I had to simulate assisting a customer despite having limited product knowledge at the time.

I had about three phone interviews, and they were all pretty similar. It was a long hiring process overall, but nothing really came of it, no real progress. There wasn't an onsite interview. In the end, it didn't move forward, and I wasn't given any explanation or told why or what knowledge I was lacking.
