Technical Coding

The first step was an online MCQ test, which was quite challenging due to its inclusion of advanced concepts in Spring and Java. The second round was a Webex interview where the interviewer seemed sarcastic. Many questions were unfamiliar, such as the number of ways to create an instance object for a class, a topic I hadn't studied deeply. They expected in-depth theoretical explanations for practical Java concepts, which I found difficult. The interviewer's feedback was essentially asking if I had prepared or just showed up.

Technical Coding Behavioral

There were 5 rounds in total. First was an MCQ round with 15 questions on core Java and 15 on a framework of our choice (like Spring, Spring MVC, hibernate, struts). These questions felt tough and complex. Next, a coding round where we had to solve 2 problems, including handling exceptions. One was to count extra brackets in a string with only '(' and ')', and the other was password validation. Then, a technical round where they reviewed the coding round questions and asked about collections, exception handling, REST API, and SQL joins. After that, a project manager round focusing on past experience and other questions. Finally, the usual HR round. The whole thing was a good experience and finished in just 2 days.
