The whole interview process was super smooth and professional from the recruiter to the hiring manager to the team. First, a 30-min recruiter call about my background, skills, and some easy behavioral questions – the recruiter was really nice. Then, a 30-min chat with the hiring manager, mostly behavioral questions, focusing on my background and interests. He seemed really chill, someone I'd want to work for. After that, two 1-hour technical interviews with two engineers each. The first was system design, heavy on data modeling. The second was a coding interview with a tough algorithm problem, but they helped me through it. I really liked how supportive and guiding the team was. Everyone was sharp but humble. Finally, the offer came a few days later. It was a tough decision because I knew it was a great company with a great culture, but I went with another offer that felt more aligned with my tech identity. The whole thing took about 2.5 weeks. Seriously, a well-run process and you can tell it's a great company with great people.

It started with a few online interviews, where they emphasized cultural fit, but technical questions made up about 75% of the interviews. The technical questions seemed pretty standard, the kind you'd find with a quick online search. For the few "fit" questions, they felt a bit manipulative, like they weren't really expecting an honest answer. After a full day of interviews, I got an email saying they weren't moving forward, but I could ask questions. I asked for feedback to help me improve in the future, but never heard back. It would have been nice to get at least a quick heads-up on what went wrong, especially since I used multiple vacation days for their lengthy interview process.

I believe there were then two technical interviews. The Hiring Manager seemed disengaged from the start and asked some very uninspired questions, almost as if they had just Googled them. Despite this, I attempted to answer, and had to practically insist on providing supporting examples for my responses.
