Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SelectQuote.
Insurance Agent
I had a quick call first with a woman who asked questions to help determine whether I was a good candidate to pass to a recruiter. The recruiter called and asked some questions and answered any question I had. Then scheduled a time to call back to get me set up. Recruiter emailed a computer competency test and a Wifi speed test for me to complete before our next call.

Insurance Agent
The Interviewer failed to call Me back or email me after his internet connection disconnected our call in our Interview. He kept asking me questions about My current job and explained to me what final expense insurance is after telling him that I’m Licensed and sold those type of policies. The guy had no flair, I wasn’t convinced to work for them
- Given that you already have a job, why are you interested in working with us?
- Can you explain final expense insurance?
Insurance Agent
I had a phone call with a SelectQuote recruiter. Then I met the Sales Manager in person, and also had a phone chat with them. They also had me do a mock-sales call, a Computer Aptitude test, and an Online Personality Test. After that, I had in-person meetings with the VP of Sales and the CEO. The whole thing took about 3 weeks.
