Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at SelectQuote.
Customer Care Representative
First I had a phone chat with a recruiter where they explained the job and I answered some simple questions. Then, I got a skills test via email to finish before my second interview. That second interview was basically a test of how well you can juggle different tasks with changing priorities. After that, I met in person with the supervisors for the team I wanted to join. They offered me the job right after the interview.
- Describe a situation where you encountered an obstacle and successfully navigated it.
Customer Service Representative
I got a call from someone at Select Quote asking if I was interested in a remote position with them. After that, I had to take some standard tests and they ran a background check. The interviewer seemed to like me and said she'd be in touch soon.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience, personal background, and anything else relevant?
- Tell me about your work experience.
- Tell me about your personal history.
Customer Care Agent
The interview process was pretty involved. I met with the recruiter twice over the phone and had another interview with the hiring manager. It was very positive and easy. It felt more like conversations than a formal interview.
- Describe a situation where you had to make a fast decision without consulting a manager.
