Presentation Group

At the assessment stage, around 11 of us had to fill out a sheet, basically our CV, and then another sheet asked for referrals of names, numbers, and email addresses of friends we think would be good at the job. Then we got into pairs and had to sell our partner to the interviewer. After that, in groups, we had to sell a product. They then told us to look at cheques on the wall with employees' earnings on them. We weren't there long at all, I had travelled a long distance - complete waste of time and money - they do not pay expenses. Mickey mouse system basically, not like big professional companies such as BARCAP or KPMG etc.

It started with a phone call from an HR manager based in Singapore. I spoke with her twice before meeting a managing director in Hong Kong. The initial calls and interviews were fairly standard. The first round was more relaxed, but the second round got more formal as we met at their office and I spoke with one of the recruitment consultants. All these discussions were very direct about the job's nature. They didn't oversell the role but made sure I understood how demanding it could be. The final stage involved a practical task where I had to make candidate calls for half a day, after which the managers evaluated my performance and we reviewed it together.
