First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Sekisui House U.S., Inc..
Sales Consultant
The interview process was very professional and genuine. The staff was kind and understanding, making me feel like it would be a great team to work with. They provide training and have a good pay structure, and the commission seems fair. They also offer benefits.
- Tell me about what you enjoy most regarding selling real estate.
Sales Consultant
I had a phone interview first, then visited two communities and researched the company. The interview itself was a group interview with 9 other people. We all filled out a questionnaire and got an explanation of the position. Then, in groups of 3, we were in a room for about 15 minutes answering questions. It was tough to stand out because of the limited time and shared stage. I was there for 2 hours and only got to talk a few times, making it hard to show my skills. I spoke more with the recruiter than the hiring managers. I bet they miss out on good people because of this format.
- Can you describe how you manage stress?
- Share some details about yourself and your background.
- What's your approach to handling angry customers?
Sales Specialist
The hiring process was long, but it felt worth it given the country's financial and economic situation at the time. The interviewers were fair and direct, asking smart questions about my past performance and how I used my skills. Once I got to the one-on-one interview stage and they were happy, things moved quickly. Getting there, though, was a slow process with no updates.
- How has your past experience equipped you to be a valuable addition to a sales team right away?
