The second interviewer was late, and both interviewers were on their phones for the first 5 minutes of the meeting. The questions were typical, but the delivery from one interviewer was not. When I mentioned I was interviewing with other builders and declined to name them, her demeanor became challenging and dismissive, which threw me off. I wouldn't want to work with her, so maybe bombing the interview was a good thing.

Behavioral Case Presentation

I had a first phone interview with a Richmond American Recruiter. The next week, I was set up for a group interview with other candidates, but it turned out I was the only one who showed up, so I ended up doing a one-on-one group interview with the Sales Manager, Division President, and Regional President. It was a professional and comfortable interview, and it really showed how involved leadership is in the company, which I liked. We discussed my work history, did some role-playing, and I learned more about the company's training and the position. My third interview was with the Sales Director over Zoom because of our schedules. We talked more about my current job and how my skills would be a good fit for the new role.
