The interview process was pretty smooth and painless. I had 4 different interviews: 1 with a recruiter, 1 with the hiring/direct manager, 1 with the manager of another team, and 1 with a director. All my interviews were on Zoom except for the first one with the recruiter, which was a phone screening. The interview process took about 3 weeks, and then about another 2 weeks to finalize the offer and start date. The recruiters I worked with were all fantastic, very communicative throughout and always quick to answer any questions I might have.

Applied online and had an initial phone screen with a recruiter who wasn't even from the office I was applying to; they asked basic stuff like why I was looking for a new job and to talk about my background. Next up was another phone interview with my potential manager, but the recruiter messed up the scheduling, so it was a surprise call and I had to dash out of my office. This one got more technical, asking about relational databases and data queries. The in-person interview was a 3-hour block, split into four 1-on-1s with team members. Two of those interviews went great, especially with my would-be boss and a Senior Consultant – really good chats and I learned a lot about the company and the role. The other two interviewers were pretty new, only about 2 months in. One was just awkward and arrogant, questioning my worth and clearly distracted, not making eye contact and seeming super uninterested. That chat was only 15 minutes of the 45 scheduled because he had no questions prepared and couldn't answer mine since he was in a totally different department. His answers were lazy and lacked context, like he had better things to do or was hungover. The other 1-on-1 was also with someone very new, and she seemed to lack interviewing experience, kept checking her watch like I was boring her. Despite the interview quirks, the company seems awesome overall: a leader in the industry, a fun environment with ping-pong and happy hours, and offers work from home and flexible PTO.

Phone interview, about 20 minutes, and spoke fairly generally about the role. The interviewer was very helpful in answering the questions I had about the role, the company, and their background.
