First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Segal.
Analyst
It was a process with multiple stages that included case studies and behavioral questions. The questions asked might be more technical based on who you talk to, and they're centered on how you'd handle different scenarios. It really depends on your role and experience level.
- How would you tackle complicated issues?
Health & Benefits Analyst
It was about two to three interviews where we discussed my background and experience. The interviews were conducted over calls and video calls. We also talked about my career path and future goals. There wasn't much technical stuff since it's mostly learning on the job, but they do have good programs for professional development.
- How can you apply your past experience to this new position?
- Can you tell me about your career and aspirations?

Healthcare Informatics Analyst
First I talked to talent acquisition, then I had an interview with an informatics analyst. The first interview was pretty chill, just to get to know me and my past experience. The second interview was more in-depth, focusing on my data analysis and programming skills. They asked me to go into detail about my projects. No coding questions were asked.
- Can you tell me about the various learning models in Python?
- What kinds of data have you worked with previously?
Associate
I applied for the job and then got an email from HR. We set up an interview with them, and you can expect the usual HR questions. It was an easy interview overall, but HR kind of hoodwinked me. At the end, they asked about my availability for the next round, which made me think I'd made it to the second round. I gave them my hours, and they said they'd get back to me the next day with the time for my second round interview. They never contacted me back. Even though I reached out and followed up during the next week, I didn't get a single response or answer from them. Total hoodwink.
- What makes you interested in this firm?
- Can you tell me about your current and past roles?
- What kind of company culture do you think is ideal?
